It was a good product and I know people who swear by it. It took a while to get my PC fully running again and by then I had shredded everything Acronis. I know he made changes to the operating system because if I had booted from the CD, he would not have had access to my machine, but one reason I always run from the CD is to avoid any such setting conflicts. I asked him to undo all of the changes he had made and he said he did not keep track of them. When the error occurred when he attempted to run True Image, he told me that they would need to evaluate this and get back to me. He ignored the fact that the errors occurred when booting from the CD and made changes to a couple of installed programs and to my registry. The technician wanted access to my machine. I think it was version 8 that was having problems and generating errors on my machine. Acronis was my main tool for this years ago (versions 6 through 8?).
